2. Entrance Examination:
Admission through WBJEE / JEE (Main) or as per prevailing admission regulations.
3. Lateral Entry:
3-year B.Tech. (6th semester entry) for eligible Diploma holders through JELET, subject to prevailing rules and regulations. |

The department has a strong research portfolio with 200+ publications and 20+ patents contributed by faculty members across diverse domains including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cyber Security, Computer Networks, Blockchain Technology, Software Engineering, and Advanced Computing.
Students are actively encouraged to participate in research activities, resulting in 51 Scopus-indexed student publications (2024 onwards) through international book chapters and research contributions in areas such as Generative AI, Cyber Security, Healthcare AI, Brain-Computer Interfaces, Virtual Reality, and Intelligent Systems.
