During the year 2018-19, The Association of Engineers, India is celebrating its Centenary Year. The Inauguration of the year-long Centenary Celebration was held on April 18 2018. As a part of the year-long Centenary Celebration of this oldest professional organisation of engineers in India, the National Conference, TAME-2019 has been planned to organize by The Association of Engineers, India (AEI) jointly with Kalyani Government Engineering College, Kalyani. The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Kalyani Government Engineering College has come forward to organize the conference on February 15-16 2018 at the college premise along with the AEI to promote fruitful interactions between practicing engineers, academicians, researchers, technocrats, entrepreneurs, engineering students and others to usher in collaborative approaches in different facets of engineering activities in this state as well as within this country or beyond. Everybody now understands that the development of the Core Sector industries, specially manufacturing sector, is must to have sustained growth of a nation. Considering this hard fact, the Department of Mechanical Engineering of this college joins hand with this century-old Association initiated in the year 1919 by Swadeshi engineers during British Rule to keep a mark with an aim of achieving self-reliance and sustainable development of this country.
