Principal Message

The Global Institute of Management and Technology was established in 2009 by a famous social reformer Shri Naresh Chandra Das for providing world class technical education in rural area of West Bengal. His dedicated contribution to the society reflects on various types of supports to the needy students.

Above all, the national figure Prof. Dr. Sajal Dasgupta is holding the Chairmanship of the Board of Governors of the Institute. The trustee Chairman Shri Naresh Chandra Das and BOG Chairman Prof. Dr. Sajal Dasgupta are the true guardians of the college. On the tenth academic year of excellence, huge reformation activities have been started for the overall up-gradation of the institute.

A number of eminent Ph.D. holders have been recruited as faculty member from the renowned institutions like IITs, NITs, JU, IIEST etc. for assuring high quality education to the students.

Our aim is to make the students highly employable to grab good jobs in this competitive world as well as to encourage them for higher studies for a bright future. Beside our normal classes, we are also covering GATE syllabus from first semester to final semester to ensure that the students get high profile job and get encouraged for higher education. On the overall completion of GATE syllabus, we are providing additional coaching for performing better in GATE examination. Extra classes for all students, on spoken english and grooming are conducted for making them industry-ready. We have arranged classes on Japanese language to help our students get high paid jobs in Japanese companies in India and all over the world.

We are involving the students in various project works from second year for growing up with implement based education. The students are highly engaged to develop their concept in real applications of machines and devices giving them a pragmatic approach.

We are jointly working with Kalyani Government Engineering College under MOU to enrich teaching-learning process by doing

• Student and faculty exchange program,
• Joint research work, research guidance and publications,
• Joint seminars and workshops,
• New lab development,
• Assistance in quality enhancement drives, etc.

The continuous improvement is taking place by the up-gradation of laboratories with modern equipments to meet the high quality technical education. At our college, teamwork is gaining momentum for achieving NBA and NAAC accreditation.

Our pass out students are successfully working with ABB, TCS, Oracle, hp, Wipro, Amazon, Techno Electric and Engineering, Infinity IT Parks Ltd, Pipal Tree Ventures, Exacta Solution, Simplex, HCL technologies, etc.

The management of the institute is assuring quality engineering education. We are assuring Job/GATE score or money back policies with written conditions in time of BTech admission.

We support the students to get Government scholarships and stipends and GIMT have its own scholarship schemes for every good student.

The sports and cultural programs are conducted throughout the year. The hostel facility is available for outsiders.

The college provides the facility of group medical insurance for all newcomer students. Medical Doctor is available in the campus medical chamber.

The college campus is well maintained with an attractive learning environment. It boasts of a beautiful garden, a playground, state-of-the-art indoor gaming facilities and attractive canteen.

Our Professors are highly dynamic and ethically strong to build and strengthen the students to meet their aims. The teaching staffs are highly efficient in hands on practices to enable the students making industrial products. The students are provided family like environment.
